b. 2003
Works and resides Berkshire / Cardiff.
Working through a range of painting media, Kieran’s work explores themes of place and memory, through colour and markmaking.
His personal memories in nature serve as the greatest inspiration for working subjects, and though largely depicting a direct intimacy with nature, an underlying theme of human connection drives the mood of each piece.
As an architecture student at Cardiff University his visual work received praise from guest critics for individuality and successful evocation of place + sensory experience.
His artwork has sold through private sales in the form of both commission and inquiry, and gallery exhibit.
Work is available for purchase through this website or by getting in touch via email.

"Originally from Berkshire but currently residing in Cardiff painting the hills and valleys of South Wales, landscape artist Kieran McKenna explores the themes of places and memories in oils along with the expression of nature through colour and mark making. His recent paintings of the North Yorkshire Fells perfectly capture the brooding moods and subtle light of this ever-changing landscape"
Gary McMillan - Stonegate Gallery, Ingleton, North Yorkshire, 2023.
